This is a pack of two Crawler Innovations Double Deuce 5.25 Dual Stage 2.2 Crawler Tire Inserts. These inserts feature a comp cut inner foam, with a soft density outer foam. Crawler Innovations has brought a unique material and insert design to the crawler
world that will dramatically improve the performance of your rig. The Double Deuce design features a closed cell inner foam combined with a conventional outer foam insert. The closed cell inner foam is super dense, water proof, is not temperature
sensitive and is extremely durable. The conventional outer foam is not temperature sensitive, but it is not water proof.

The “Comp Cut” inner insert has three grooves machined into the area where the outer and inner meet. The machined grooves allow for the outer foam to collapse into them resulting in a much more responsive tire. The inner foam width is 1.75″ and is machined
for 1″ width wheels, but they will fit any size wheel/rim from .7″ to 1.35″.

The 5.25 Size is recommended for lightweight competition trucks that weigh 6 pounds or less. The 5.25 is a great fit in Hot Bodies white, blue and pink dot Rovers, Hot Bodies Sedonas, Axial Ripsaws, Pit Bull Rock Beasts, Pro-Line Chisels, Panther Leopards,
HPI Rock Grabbers, as well as any tire that measures 5.5″ inches tall or shorter.

NOTE: Typically, you want to use a firmer foam in the rear than what you use in the front. This will help to prevent the truck from transferring weight to the rear, causing the front end to lift when climbing obstacles or steep
grades. Additionally, the heavier the truck, the firmer insert you will want to use. Package includes two foams. Foams are available in soft (CWR-1044), medium (CWR-1045) and firm (CWR-1046) densities.

Crawler Innovations recommends you use

  • 5.5 for scalers and heavy competition trucks more than 6 pounds
  • 5.25 size for comp trucks 6 pounds and lighter
  • 5.0 size for trucks that weigh less than 4 pounds
